Brute! Solo

Barbaric is a wonderful fusion of light rules; your character only has two stats, Endurance and Lifeblood, and the grittiness of the Cepheus System. These core rules have been married up to most of the monsters we know from OSR games. What you don't get are the orcs and goblins as default evil humanoids. Barbaric! is much more human-centric.

These rules use a simple 2D oracle to serve as your yes-no tool and themed D66 lists of words to pull inspiration from. There are 15 specific lists and include caves, crypts, and wilderness, as well as the senses; scent, texture, and colors.

Because you will be facing human foes on a regular basis, I have put more effort into making them more unique. I introduce three spectrums of behavior, Aggression, Recklessness, and Honor. This replaces the standard reaction roll, or can be used to compliment it.
